Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our planned 2020–2021 season was on hold for a brief period. The ORCMA Board of Directors, however, was committed to keeping music alive in the community and paying its staff and musicians. Tickets were not offered for sale. Instead, the Board and staff began fundraising and grant-writing initiatives to keep the doors open, and during the fall of 2020, presented a hybrid of socially distanced events including outdoor performances, virtual concerts, and video presentations. You may watch these performances -- which include a brass quintet from the Oak Ridge Symphony Orchestra, a woodwind quintet from the Oak Ridge Symphony Orchestra, an Oak Ridge Symphony Orchestra string concert, a vignette of the Oak Ridge Chorus in collaboration with the Roane Choral Society, and a concert by the Oak Ridge Chorus -- on ORCMA's YouTube Channel.
Spring of 2021 brings more music!...virtual chamber music, live orchestra, and chorus concerts beginning in March. Information will be posted as it becomes available at https://orcma.org/2020-2021. Contact email@example.com to sign up for our email list and be notified of ORCMA's concerts and many activities.
