The 3rd Annual Adolf King Summer Strings Camp, directed by Martha Damiano, is part of ORCMA's commitment to youth education. Offering FREE private lessons by professional musicians, the camp is unique to the greater Knoxville area and addresses community engagement, relevance, representation, diversity, equity, and inclusion. Students will experience the special treat of learning music with ORCMA's musicians.

During the week, students will be provided snacks daily, and will:

  • Participate in small or large ensembles

  • Learn music theory basics

  • Acquire critical listening skills

  • Participate in a finale performance.

The camp closes with a special live performance by professional musicians and a pizza party!

A special THANK YOU to the Adolf family donations & East Tennessee Foundation - for their matching grant contribution in supporting our program. This grant is a part of the Oak Ridge Fund for Awareness for Achieving Community Excellence.
