Julie Bélanger Roy

Viola

A native of Montréal, Québec, Canada, Ms. Bélanger Roy is known as a violist, violinist and as a classical singer. Her most recent opera performances include the role of La Zia Principessa (Suor Angelica) and Mrs. McLean (Susannah) both with Marble City Opera. In addition to her work in opera, Ms. Bélanger Roy regularly plays with Knoxville Symphony, Oak Ridge Symphony as well as Symphony of the Mountains. She teaches violin & viola, works as a session musician for WaveTransform Studio where she records both voice and strings for local and international artists, and tours internationally with rock and metal bands. Ms. Bélanger Roy graduated with both a Master’s degree in Vocal Performance and a Master’s degree in Viola Performance from the University of Tennessee, and with a Bachelor degree in Viola Performance from the Montreal Conservatory of Music.
